They danced, they sang, they cited poems, did a drama and participated in games...
Just an afternoon of fun activities for our almost 50 children in our safe house. Our staff and the ladies from our safehouse were invited.
Children who have become separated from their parents due to the war. children severely traumatized by what they have experienced during the war. Children suffereing from night mares, bedwetting and depression.
Children who came in without hope for the future. Children who needed the love, care and counselling which is offered by our amazing staff.
This afternoon was special as they unknowingly gave us an insight in how far they had come They showed us their gratitute, the smile on their faces. It was such a testament of the effort which our staff is putting in to invest in the life of these kids. It is not always easy to work with them but to see the result was bringing us to tears.
Through your support you have enabled us to be here for them, to be that arm around their shoulder, giving them the hug they need. We hope you get some joy when you look at the pictures, we would not be able to do this without you!
